Highest possible thrust Large cambered blades develop such high hydrodynamic thrust that VARIFOLD props are routinely fitted one inch smaller (diameter and/or pitch) than other propellers for a given boat. This unique blade contour, plus prop shaft torque and gearing, generates a powerful opening force and guarantees immediate, gentle and full opening that is totally reliable, even in reverse, every time.

100% Opening in all situations. Independent tests have shown that the VARIFOLD blades open 100%, even when shifting into reverse from going forward at 6 Knots. Conventional folding props don’t open reliably in reverse even at half that speed or less. Minimum sailing drag Even with these large and powerful blades, the shape is so well engineered that the gap between the folded blades is extremely small (1/8" / 3mm), satisfying the most serious racer who demands minimum drag. Plus- drag is further minimized because VARIFOLD’s blades are actually shorter than others. And unlike competitive brands there is no extra charge for these racing features.
